SUBJECT OF HEARING

Final Report on the 1999 Review of Water Quality Standards for Salinity—Colorado River System (June 1999) and Supplemental Report (October 1999).

BACKGROUND

The hearing will be held for the purpose of receiving comments on the Final Report regarding the 1999 Review of Water Quality Standards for Salinity in the Colorado River System.  This Final Report was prepared and adopted by the Colorado River Basin Salinity Control Forum and recommends no change to the existing salinity standards for the Colorado River System.  Pursuant to section 303 of the Federal Clean Water Act, water quality standards must be reviewed at least once every three years (Triennial Review) and modified as necessary.  The State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) will consider adoption of the subject Final Report at a future Board Meeting.
