  • Agenda Package Available for Irrigated Lands Conditional Waiver Adoption Hearing 28 November 2005
    Item 9 on the Central Valley Water Board's 28 November 2005 meeting agenda is a public hearing for the Board to consider adopting new Irrigated Lands Conditional Waivers. The current conditional waivers, adopted on 11 July 2003, expire on 31 December 2005. The Board will consider adopting 2 Orders, each of which has 2 Attachments. The agenda package includes a staff report, responses to comments, summary of comment letters, notice of public hearing, and proposed Orders and Attachments.

  • Board Adopts Resolution R5-2005-0137 to Clarify Application of Tributary Rule
    On 20 October 2005, the Central Valley Water Board adopted Resolution R5-2005-0137, which added an Information Sheet to Resolution R5-2003-0105, Conditional Waivers of Waste Discharge Requirements for Discharges From Irrigated Lands Within the Central Valley Region. The Information Sheet clarifies the application of the Basin Plan's tributary rule to constructed agricultural drains, agriculturally-dominated water bodies, and other non-stream tributaries.

    Items 7a, 7b, and 7c on the Central Valley Water Board's 20 October 2005 meeting agenda are related to the Irrigated Lands Regulatory Program. Item 7a is a Workshop on the Renewal of the Conditional Waivers. Item 7b is an Information Report on Issues related to Coalition Group Membership Lists. Item 7c is an action item regarding clarification of the application of the Basin Plan's tributary rule. The Board will not take any action on Items 7a or 7b.

    Notice of Public Hearing concerning the Central Valley Water Board’s consideration of a Resolution to Amend the Central Valley Region Irrigated Lands Conditional Waivers. Public comments on the proposed amendment must be submitted in writing to the Central Valley Water Board office by 23 August 2005.

    On 5 August 2005, the Central Valley Water Board adopted Resolution No. R5-2005-0107, which amended Resolution No. R5-2003-0105, the Conditional Waivers for Discharges from Irrigated Lands Within the Central Valley. The Resolution amends Attachments B and C by revising the language of two conditions (A.7 and B.9) pertaining to Water Board staff inspections of private property and confidentiality of technical reports or portions thereof submitted to the Water Board.
