CIWQS PRESENTATION TO SCCWRP

CIWQS DATA FORMAT
The CIWQS Data Format (CDF) Microsoft Excel-based file allows you to configure your data into a format that CIWQS will understand and interpret correctly.  You can open the CDF file in Microsoft Excel, configure it on the basis of your permit requirements, and then use the configured file as a template for entering monitoring data on a monthly basis.
Important Note:  The Tools require that macros be enabled.


SESSIONS
As you may know, we have started informative outreach sessions for the California Integrated Water Quality System (CIWQS) database system.  These outreach sessions are intended to be the first of several visits over the next six to twelve months while the system is built and deployed.  Our upcoming meeting schedule is tentatively set as follows:

OUTREACH SESSION CONTENT
The eSMR Orientation session is a presentation covering the main elements and procedures for the eSMR module. Topics include benefits of electronic submission, registration and authorized users, building and submitting SMRs with the report builder component, use of EDF files and EDF tools, raw data submission via web screens, etc. The goal is to provide dischargers with an overview of the process and identify and resolve both general and specific questions. These questions will then be incorporated into the CIWQS FAQ web page or distributed via targeted newsletters. The presentation will be kept to 90 minutes or less followed by questions.
