Submit Lead and Copper Analyses through NEW Lab-To-State Portal

The Division of Drinking Water (DDW) is encouraging laboratories to utilize the Lab-To-State (LTS) Portal, a new method to electronically submit lead and copper data for public water systems for compliance with the Lead and Copper Rule (LCR). Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (ELAP) accredited laboratories can attend an informational webinar about the LTS portal and how to participate in submitting data for public water systems. More information about how to register for the Lab-To-State Portal can be found in the Lab-To-State Webinar Handout. Please contact the SDWIS Unit at SDWIS@waterboards.ca.gov or (916) 322-9599 with any pertinent questions regarding this project.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Will using this portal affect my other water quality submittals?
Not at all. This project will not affect the lead data that you may be submitting for schools, nor does it affect the current process you may be using for submitting existing data to WQI.  It only pertains to lead and copper data that is submitted for the LCR.
Can we use the Write-On application?
The Write-On application will not work for generating files in the correct format and we do not plan to create a new application at this time to replace Write-On as we transition to the use of LTS (and eventually its future replacement being developed by USEPA – the Compliance Monitoring Data Portal) for all compliance data in the next few years.
I cannot attend the webinar. Will it be recorded?
Yes, the webinar will be recorded and posted on this webpage after the presentation. Please feel free to contact Jen-Ann Lee or (916) 322-9599 for any further questions or concerns.
