Notice of settlement of administrative civil liability
Settlement offer no. r4-2008-0116-M

This is a proposed stipulation between the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board prosecution team (Regional Board Prosecution Team) and the Santa Clarita Valley Sanitation District of Los Angeles County to resolve alleged violations of requirements contained in Regional Board Order Nos. 95-080, R4-2003-0143, R4-2003-0144, and R4-2005-0031.

Notice is hereby given that on December 7, 2011, a Stipulation for Entry of Order, (proposed) Order No. R4-2008-0116-M (Stipulated Order) was entered into between the Chief Prosecutor of the Regional Water Quality Control Board, Los Angeles Region (Regional Board), the Santa Clarita Valley Sanitation District of Los Angeles County, and the City of Santa Clarita.

Under the proposed Stipulated Order, Santa Clarita Valley Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County has agreed to pay $180,000 in administrative civil penalties, of which $97,500 shall be contributed to fund the City of Santa Clarita’s Supplemental Environmental Project (SEP) entitled “Upper Santa Clara River Watershed Arundo/Tamarisk Removal Plan Site Specific Project.” Please refer to the links below for Settlement Offer No. R4-2008-0116-M and the proposed Stipulated Order. Information on the proposed SEP is included in Appendix B.
