Regional Excess Sediment Amendment
The Regional Water Board is developing a proposed amendment to the Water Quality Control Plan for the North Coast Region (Basin Plan) to control the discharge of excess sediment to waters of the North Coast Region. This proposed amendment,entitled “Measures to Control Excess Sediment” is under development by a committee comprised of Regional Water Board members and staff. The committee released an initial draft of the proposed amendment language on June 13, 2007 followed with a revised version (dated July 18, 2007).

Regional Water Board staff is actively engaged in outreach activities designed to inform interested members of the public on the scope, applicability and framework of the proposed amendment. See staff contact information below to contact staff or to schedule a meeting.
