for Organochlorine for the Newport Bay Watershed - June 24, 2005 Board MeetingStaff Presentation - CEQA Scoping meeting - June 22, 2005 The technical Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs) for Toxic Pollutants, San Diego Creek and Newport Bay, was promulgated by USEPA Region 9 in June 2002. The constituents addressed in the TMDL included the organophosphate (OP) pesticides, selenium, metals, and
organochlorine (OC) compounds. For the OC compounds, Regional Board staff plans to recommend that the Santa Ana Regional Board adopt a resolution to incorporate the technical TMDL with an implementation plan into
the Basin Plan on or about December 2006. For questions related to this TMDL, please contact Terri Reeder (951) 782-4995.
