Water Boards' Strategic Plan
New! Strategic Plan Update Report - 2010
In keeping our commitment to ensure transparency throughout the strategic planning process, we are posting our first update on the 2008-2012 Strategic Plan and the status of its implementation. Due to State budget issues, mandatory furloughs, and new legislation, completion of work on some of the actions identified in the Strategic Plan has been delayed beyond the timeframes specified in the plan, and shifts in priorities have been identified. At this midpoint in Strategic Plan implementation, we are providing a brief overview of accomplishments to date, and current and new actions that we have identified as priorities through 2012. If you have any comments or suggestions regarding this update, please email Gail Linck or phone 916 341-5285.

Strategic Plan Update: 2008 - 2012
The California Water Boards completed the process to update their Strategic Plan in September 2008. A series of forums were conducted to receive input from stakeholders and staff throughout the state. The input identified key areas of focus for the Water Boards to consider in their planning for the next five years. Following input received from four successive versions of the draft Strategic Plan Update: 2008-2012, the State Water Board adopted the plan at its September 2, 2008 meeting. We welcome your continued participation as we implement the actions contained in the plan.
