Low Impact Development (LID) Education
Trainings
In 2004, the Water Board Training Academy (The Academy) held four short courses on LID for State Water Board and Regional Water Board employees. Since the initial trainings, numerous discussions have taken place on how to effectively pursue outreach and education. Discussions have focused on how to effectively promote LID, terminology, and defining a standard to be met throughout the state.

In 2007 the Academy held three more trainings, throughout the months of June and July, in Folsom, Rohnert Park, and in Marina Del Rey. These trainings were three-day trainings, with the first day attended by only Water Board Staff, and the last two days open to Water Board and Non-waterboard Staff. The emphasis was on how LID can play a role in stormwater management.

2007 Presentations Included
