AGRICULTURAL WATER QUALITY GRANTS PROGRAM PROPOSITIONS 40 AND 50
Funds have been awarded through two solicitations. Not all funds were awarded. This includes funds from both Propositions 40 and 50. Additional funds will be available from Proposition 84.
Funding Information
| Eligible Applicants: | Public Agencies*, Nonprofit Organizations. |
| Eligible Project Types: | Projects that improve agricultural water quality through monitoring, demonstration projects, research, construction of agricultural drainage improvements, and to reduce pollutants in agricultural drainage water through reuse, integrated management, or treatment. |
| Funding Available: | $2 million remaining |
| Fund Source: | Proposition 40 and 50 |
| Loans or Grants: | Grants |
| Applications: | Not currently accepting applications; will be solicited with Proposition 84 funds. |
*Public Resources Code,
section 30901(d) defines “public
agency” as a city, county, city and county,
district, the state or any agency or department
thereof, and applicants eligible for technical
assistance under Section 319 of the federal Clean
Water Act (33 U.S.C. Sec. 1329) or for grants under
Section 320 of the federal Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. Sec. 1330).
