DAIRY WATER QUALITY GRANT PROGRAM
The Dairy Water Quality Grant Program provided $5 million from Proposition 50 to fund regional and on-farm dairy projects to address water quality impacts from dairies. The State Water Resouces Control Board adopted the final Program Guidelines on June 16, 2005.

Announcements
The State Water Board solicited grant proposals on August 2, 2005 and 16 eligible proposals were submitted by the due date of October 3, 2005. In accordance with the Program Guidelines, an interagency Selection Panel was convened to review and rank the proposals. The Panel completed its work and submitted its Recommended Projects List to the State Water Board on December 16, 2005.
The State Water Board discussed the Recommended Projects List at two Board meetings on January 4 and 13, 2006. At the second meeting, the State Water Board adopted the Recommended Projects List.
The Division of Financial Assistance is now processing grant agreements for the top five applicants. In the event any of these five grant agreements are not completed in a timely manner, any remaining funds will be offered to the next highest priority project on the list.
