Operator Certification Program – Examinations

To qualify for the operator certification examination, you must meet the educational requirement by the final filing date. The examination is given in March/April and October every year. Examinations are scheduled in locations throughout the state and each approved applicant is assigned to an examination site based on their mailing address.

• The application deadline is February 1, 2012 for the March 31, 2012 examination.
  Your application must be POSTMARKED by the deadline.
  For future exam dates and information please refer to the examination schedule.

Tentative examination sites are Fresno, Los Angeles, Monterey, Oakland, Redding, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Rosa. Please keep in mind that these exam locations are subject to change.
