Underground Storage Tank (UST) Program
Leaking Underground Fuel Tank (LUFT) Task Force
At the direction of State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) Resolution No. 2009-0042, the Division of Water Quality created a LUFT program task force on June 11, 2009 composed of State Water Board and Regional Water Quality Control Boards (Regional Water Boards) staff, Local Oversight Program (LOP), other local agency staff, consultants and tank owners and operators. The LUFT Task Force will make recommendations for improvements to the LUFT cleanup program including additional approaches to risk-based cleanup.
This site will be updated regularly with information on the progress of the LUFT task force. To offer comments or suggestions to the task force, please contact one of the committee leaders for your particular interest group.
A separate task force has been created by the Division of Financial Assistance (DFA). To make recommendations for improving the UST Cleanup Fund program, please contact Lori Casias, DFA Manager, at (916) 341-5650 for information about this task force.
