PROPOSED DECISION DETERMINING THE LEGAL CLASSIFICATION OF GROUNDWATER IN THE PAUMA AND PALA BASINS OF THE SAN LUIS REY RIVER

At the meeting of the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) which was held on November 18, 1999, the SWRCB delayed action on the proposed decision to allow additional time for interested persons to provide written comments on it. A copy of the proposed decision is enclosed. Please be advised that the proposed decision has been modified. Written comments must be received by 5:00 p.m. on January 3, 2000. Please send your comments to James M. Stubchaer, Chair, at the following address:

Copies of the comments shall also be sent to all persons on the attached mailing list at the same time they are sent to the SWRCB.

The SWRCB will consider the comments on the proposed decision at a workshop expected to be held February 2, 2000, and will consider whether to adopt the proposed decision at a board meeting to be held February 17, 2000.
