Lake Elsinore and San Jacinto Watersheds
LAKE ELSINORE AND SAN JACINTO WATERSHEDS PRIORITY
The Lake Elsinore and San Jacinto Watersheds Program provides funding to the Lake Elsinore and San Jacinto Watersheds Authority to improve the water quality and habitat of Lake Elsinore and San Jacinto watersheds by funding watershed management and flood control projects consistent with the Lake Elsinore Management Plan. Proposition 13 allocated a total of $15 million, of which $14.1 million is directed towards projects. These projects accomplish one or more of the following:
- Watershed monitoring
- Storm channel modification
- Nutrient control
- Aeration
- Wetlands restoration and enhancement
- Wildlife habitat enhancement
- Fishery enhancement
- Calcium quicklime treatment
- Sediment Removal
