2007 - Proposed Underground Storage Tank Regulations

The Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (Notice) concerns the Underground Storage Tank (UST) Program regulations contained in Chapter 16 of Title 23 of the California Code of Regulations. 

As described in the Notice, the proposed regulations will amend references to UST operating permit application “Form A,” “Form B,” and “Form C” throughout Title 23, Chapter 16.  They specify that UST owners and operators use a new standard form for submitting new and previously required information on procedures for monitoring. They also revise unclear sections and incorrect citations and references within Title 23, Chapter 16.  

The UST operating permit application forms “Form A,” “Form B” and “Form C” are located in Title 27 and are only referenced in Title 23.  Please note that proposed changes to the title and content of these Title 27 forms are the subject of a separate rulemaking proceeding before CalEPA.  CalEPA held a public hearing and closed its comment period for proposed changes to the title and content of these forms on May 11, 2007.
