Financial Assistance Programs - Grants and Loans

PROPOSITION 13

In March 2000, California voters approved Proposition 13 (2000 Water Bond), which authorizes the State of California to sell $1.97 billion in general obligation bonds to support safe drinking, water quality, flood protection and water reliability projects throughout the state.

The State Water Resources Control Board (waterboards) was authorized to allocate $763.9 million of these funds to local projects throughout California. Most of this funding has been awarded to projects through competitive grant selection processes.  Additional information on Proposition 13 awarded and available funding can be found below by selecting funding programs below.
