The Basin Planning Unit is involved in the following activities:

• Implementing the Watershed Management Initiative,
• Conducting the Triennial Review of the Basin Plan,
• Proposing Basin Plan Amendments for Regional Board Approval
• Working on the New River/Mexicali Sanitation Project,
• Participating in efforts to restore the Salton Sea, and
• Managing grant contracts.
