ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Water Board staff and Pacific Gas & Electric reach settlement regarding Hinkley contamination. PG&E agrees to pay $3.6 million for alleged violations of the 2008 Cleanup and Abatement Order; fifty percent of the amount will fund a water supply project for the Hinkley School. The Water Board staff will explain the settlement at a public meeting on February 16, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hinkley School. Comments on the settlement are due by March 1, 2012. The Water Board will consider accepting the settlement at its March 14-15, 2012 meeting in Barstow, CA.
