The Model Urban Runoff Program (MURP) is a guide developed for local governments to help them create programs to manage polluted urban runoff. It provides model ordinances, best management practices, and educational components for municipalities. This guide is a collaborative effort involving multiple California agencies, including the cities of Monterey and Santa Cruz, the California Coastal Commission, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
