WHEREAS:

1. The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) has contracted with the Trustees of the California State University (Trustees) for the past fifteen years to provide student assistant services to the Central Valley Regional Board.

2. In June 1996, the State Water Board contracted with the Trustees to continue that service and that contract now needs to be amended.

3. Contract funding for Fiscal Years 96/97, 97/98 and 98/99 would not exceed $300,000.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT:

The State Water Resources Control Board authorize the Executive Director or his designee to negotiate and amend, as necessary, the student assistant contract with the Trustees of the California State University.

The undersigned, Administrative Assistant to the Board, does hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and correct copy of a resolution duly and regularly adopted at a meeting of the State Water Resources Control Board held on July 23, 1998.
