WHEREAS:

1.  The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) has contracted with the Trustees of the California State University (Trustees) for the past sixteen years to provide student assistant services to the Central Valley Regional Board.

2.  In June 1997, the State Water Board contracted with the Trustees to continue that service and that contract now needs to be renewed.

3.  Contract funding for Fiscal Years 1999-00, 2000-01, 2001-02, 2002-03 and 2003-04 would not exceed $1,760,000.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT:

The State Water Resources Control Board authorizes the Executive Director or his designee to negotiate and amend, as necessary, the student assistant contract with the Trustees of the California State University.

The undersigned, Administrative Assistant to the Board, does hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and correct copy of a resolution duly and regularly adopted at a meeting of the State Water Resources Control Board held on April 29, 1999.
