In-Water Vessel Hull Cleaning Best Management Practice Fact Sheet
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s 2008 and 2013 Vessel General Permits prohibit in-water hull cleaning in California unless conducted using Best Available Technology (BAT) as determined by California State Water Resources Control Board staff. Since they have not yet determined BAT for in-water hull cleaning, San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board staff have prepared this interim best management practice (BMP) for in-water hull cleaning.

Conditional Waiver of Waste Discharge Requirements for Grazing Operations in the Napa River and Sonoma Creek Watersheds
The Water Board is the lead agency for the adoption of the Conditional Waiver of Waste Discharge Requirements for Grazing Activities in the Napa River and Sonoma Creek Watersheds (Conditional Waiver of WDRs) under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).

Prior to the Board’s consideration of the Conditional Waiver of WDRs itself, CEQA requires that the Board consider adoption of a Mitigated Negative Declaration or other CEQA document. By adopting a Mitigated Negative Declaration document, the Board will certify that adoption of the Conditional Waiver of WDRs will not cause environmental impacts.

The Draft Mitigated Negative Declaration was circulated for a 36 day public review, from June 20 to July 26, 2011.

Aramburu Island Shoreline Protection and Ecological Enhancement Project
On January 13, 2011, the Executive Officer of the Water Board issued a Clean Water Act Section 401 Conditional Water Quality Certification to the Marin County Department of Parks and Open Space for activities associated with the Aramburu Island Shoreline Protection and Ecological Enhancement Project located adjacent to the Richardson Bay Audubon Sanctuary in the northwest region of Richardson Bay. To review the Conditional Water Quality Certification or CEQA documents click on the appropriate link below. These documents are also available for public review at the Water Board's office located at 1515 Clay Street, Suite 1400, Oakland.
