Salt Slough Selenium TMDL

A Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) for selenium in Salt Slough was completed by the Central Valley Water Board and was approved by U.S. EPA in August 1999. The TMDL is implemented through a prohibition of discharge of agricultural subsurface drainage water to Salt Slough. This prohibition was adopted in a Basin Plan Amendment for the Control of Agricultural Subsurface Drainage Discharges (State Water Board Resolution 96-078), with an effective date of 10 January 1997.
