ELECTRONIC SELF-MONITORING REPORTS USER GROUP

November 13, 2007 Meeting Summary

The 40 attendees were split into 3 groups based on the following criteria: have not used CIWQS, are currently using CIWQS, and are currently using Region 2’s ERS.

Although each group had different perspectives, the following common requests were to voiced:

• Increase ease of use
• Improved system performance
• Have the system identify errors before report submission
• Display a compliance summary sheet
• Violations be verified by case workers in a timely manner
• Procedures for commenting on data contained in public reports
• Ability to comment on submitted data points

The Water Board is implementing a project to resolve some of the existing issues with eSMR and address some of the issues listed above. The meeting participants that agreed to be on the eSMR user group will help define the requirements for this project and test the resolutions. The User Group meeting schedule and links to associated documents are shown below.
