The Division of Drinking Water (DDW) regulates public drinking water systems.
- Claim Submittal Deadline for Phase One Special Needs Claims Forms for Tyco and BASF Settlements: August 21, 2025
Any public water system considering submitting a Phase One Special Needs claims form for payment from the Tyco or BASF settlements regarding PFAS contamination must do so by August 21, 2025.

Eligible public water systems may wish to consult with legal counsel to discuss this new deadline and ensure that any claims are timely submitted - Notice of Public Workshop published for the 2025 Safe Drinking Water Plan; public workshop July 15, 2025; written comments due noon, August 29, 2025
- Proposed revised notification and/or response levels for perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS), and perfluorohexane sulfonic acid (PFHxS) and proposed notification level and response level for perfluorohexanoic acid (PFHxA). An informational item on the proposed notification and response levels will be presented at the August 6, 2025, Board Meeting. All proposed notification and response levels are based on peer reviewed recommendations from the Office of Environmental Health and Hazard Assessment.
- Notice of Opportunity to Comment and Consideration of Adoption of revisions to the Cross-Connection Control Policy Handbook; adoption hearing June 17, 2025; written comments due noon, June 10, 2025
- Notice of Proposed Rulemaking published for the Onsite Treatment and Reuse of Nonpotable Water Regulation; public hearing May 8, 2025; written comments due noon, May 9, 2025
- Hexavalent chromium MCL last date for initial monitoring sample collection: April 1, 2025
- 2025 Division of Drinking Water Regulatory Priorities Adopted
- 2024 Consumer Confidence Report guidance materials available (January 31, 2025)
- Direct Potable Reuse Regulations Approved. FAQ posted. Regulation Effective October 1, 2024.
- Hexavalent Chromium MCL Approved; Regulation Effective October 1, 2024
