Permits for Three Shipyards near San Diego Bay:

NPDES Permit Reissuance: Waste Discharge Requirements
for BAE Systems San Diego Ship Repair Inc. (formerly
called Southwest Marine), San Diego County. This
is a shipyard adjacent to San Diego Bay. (Tentative
Order No. R9-2008-0048, NPDES Permit No. CA0109151)
2. NPDES Permit Reissuance: Waste Discharge Requirements
for Continental Maritime of San Diego, Inc., San
Diego County. This is a shipyard adjacent to San
Diego Bay. (Tentative Order No. R9-2008-0049,
NPDES Permit No. CA0109142)
3. NPDES Permit Reissuance: Waste Discharge Requirements
for National Steel & Shipbuilding Company
(NASSCO), San Diego County. This is a shipyard
adjacent to San Diego Bay. (Tentative Order No.
R9-2008-0050, NPDES Permit No. CA0109134)

Hearing Notice: Intent to Reissue NPDES Permit for
discharge from Groundwater Extraction waste to Surface
Waters within the San Diego Region Except for San
Diego Bay. A public hearing is scheduled for
March 12, 2008, for the California Regional Water
Quality Control Board, San Diego Region (Regional
Board) to receive comments and consider adoption
of Tentative Order No. R9-2008-0002, General Waste
Discharge Requirements and NPDES Permit No. CAG919002
for discharges from groundwater extraction waste
to surface waters within the San Diego Region except
for San Diego Bay. If adopted, Tentative Order No.
R9-2008-0002, would supersede the current NPDES
permit, Order no. R9-2001-0096. Written comments
regarding this action will be accepted through March

The Regional Board will consider rescinding Order
No. R9-2003-0228, Waste Discharge Requirements for
California Department of Parks and Recreation, Crystal
Cove State Park, El Morro Trailer Park, Orange County.
b. Rescission of Cease and Desist Order - The
Regional Board will consider rescinding Order
No. R9-2003-0285, Against California Department
of Parks and Recreation, Crystal Cove State Park,
El Morro Trailer Park, Orange County, To Establish
a Time Schedule to Comply with Waste Discharge
Requirements Order No. R9-2003-0228.
The
discharger reported that discharges of domestic
waste ceased in April 2006 and the wastewater
treatment and disposal system at El Morro Trailer
Park was decommissioned in September 2006.

Order R9-2007-0053, Waste Discharge Requirements
for Order No. 2000-0163, Frank Konyn Dairy
- Public
Hearing Notice: Addendum No. 2 to CAO Nos. R9-2006-0101
and 0102. The California Regional Water Quality
Control Board, San Diego Region, (Regional Board)
will consider the adoption of Addendum No. 2 to
Cleanup and Abatement Order Nos. R9-2006-0101 (Bill
and Heidi Dickerson, and Perry and Papenhausen Construction,
501 First St., Coronado) and R9-2006-0102 (Larry
and Penny Gunning, and Perry and Papenhausen Construction,
505 First St., Coronado) for the unauthorized discharge
of fill to San Diego Bay. Written public comments
regarding the Addendums will be accepted through
June 12, 2007. The Addendums will be considered
by the Regional Board at its June 13, 2007, meeting
at the Regional Board office located at 9174 Sky
Park Ct., San Diego, California. Oral comments will
be accepted at the meeting that will begin at 9
AM. The Addendums and related documents can be obtained
