Proposed Administrative Civil Liability Settlement – Northstar Mountain Properties
Water Board prosecution staff reached an agreement with Northstar Mountain Properties to resolve alleged violations primarily associated with construction stormwater control at numerous projects at the Northstar Resort in Placer County. The proposed settlement includes a $2,750,000 administrative civil liability, of which $2,250,000 would go to a supplemental environmental project (SEP) for restoration and fuels reduction work in the Martis Valley and Northstar community.
The Lahontan Water Board will consider the agreement and SEP proposal at its March 11-12, 2009 meeting. The Water Board will be considering comments on the proposed settlement and associated Administrative Civil Liability Order until 5:00 P.M. on March 5, 2009 (see the relevant documents below).
