Oil and Gas Operation - Sumps and Storage
Sumps and Storage Ponds:
The Los Angeles Regional Board issued the following Orders to all operators of oil and gas wells within the Los Angeles Regional Board jurisdiction (which may overlap with either DOGGR regulated District One or Two, or as an operator within multiple DOGGR regulated Districts) to gather information on how fluids associated with oil and gas production are managed throughout Los Angeles and Ventura Counties.
The Regional Board is currently inspecting oil and gas fields to determine if any sumps, ponds, or pits may exist that could potentially impact water quality. Additional Oil and Gas related projects can be found by using the Geotracker database here.
