Project Description: |
The primary purpose of the refuge island project (Project) is to enhance habitat for the state and federally endangered California Ridgway’s rail (Rallus obsoletus obsoletus; formerly, California clapper rail [Rallus longirostris obsoletus], hereafter California Ridgway’s rail or rail) by providing high-tide refugia and long-term nesting habitat for this species. |
