Project Name:

Shadow Cliffs Gully Stabilization Project
City/County:

Pleasanton, Alameda County
Comment Period:

4/5/2024 - 4/25/2024
Project Description:

Surface water drainage along a portion of the Cemex Eliot Quarry entrance road has historically concentrated at a low point on the western side of the road and discharged into the adjacent Shadow Cliffs Lake ("Lake"), which sits approximately 54 feet below grade. An erosional gully developed over time along the Lake slope. The Project proposes a comprehensive repair involving the installation of a subdrain system to keep water from building up underneath the gully repair, placement of geotextile fabric and turf reinforcement mat for stability, and backfill of the erosional gully with Rock Slope Protection ("RSP" or "riprap") to prevent future slope failure.
