Section 401 Water Quality Certification Public Notice
2023 Storm Repairs – Site J12c
The San Francisco Regional Water Quality Control Board is currently reviewing an application for the following project for water quality certification under Section 401 of the Clean Water Act. We encourage public comments on the proposed work, which will be considered in the decision on certification. You may submit comments on this project to the staff member below.

| Project Description: | Site J12c consists of four locations where debris flow landslides occurred as a result of the 2023 storm events. An unnamed intermittent drainage is present at the toe of the slope. The design footprint at each location was minimized to avoid the drainage to the maximum extent feasible. Without stabilizing the hillside slope, the intermittent drainage would likely be filled by landslides over time and the road would be lost. |
