Section 401 Water Quality Certification Public Notice

Arroyo Las Positas Flood Hazard Mitigation Project


The San Francisco Regional Water Quality Control Board is currently reviewing an application for the following project for water quality certification under Section 401 of the Clean Water Act. We encourage public comments on the proposed work, which will be considered in the decision on certification. You may submit comments on this project to the staff member below.

Project Description:

The purpose of the Project is to mitigate recurring flooding and damage to the golf course and airport/airport infrastructure. Utilizing the FEMA Hazard Mitigation and California Department of Water Resources Flood Management grants detailed above, the City will implement the proposed Project, which will protect the surrounding areas by restoring flow capacity of this reach of the creek.
