Project Description: |
During the rains from the 2022-2023 atmospheric river storm events, flows in Belmont Creek channel were up to the freeway overpass, and close to overtopping and flooding the adjacent businesses and associated parking. California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) District 4 proposes to remove sediment from the Caltrans Right of Way (ROW) in the Belmont Creek channel below U.S. 101 to restore carrying capacity in the creek and reduce localized flooding potential. |
