Project Name: |
Whisman Park Stevens Creek Bank Erosion Repairs |
City/County: |
Mountain View, Santa Clara County |
Comment Period: |
8/8/2025 - 8/28/2025 |
Project Description: |
Repair 2022-2023 bank erosion in three areas in the 700-ft-long reach. Continuing bank erosion will cause closure of the Pedestrian Bridge or damage requiring emergency bridge replacement, loss of maintenance vehicle access along the top of the east bank, etc. The bank erosion forms a near-vertical 15-ft-high scarp within about 8-10 horizontal feet from the edge of Stevens Creek Trail. Additional bank erosion could cause the Stevens Creek Trail and/or the Hetch Hetchy Trail pedestrian bridge to be damaged and/or closed to pedestrian access. |
