| Project Description: | The Project Area and surrounding landscape was burned in the CZU Lightning Complex fire in 2020. This Project proposes to make minor repairs to Little Butano Creek Road and replace the associated bridge, retaining wall, and culvert which allow critical access for fire, emergency response vehicles, and Butano Wastewater Treatment Plant as well as recreational access to the road, which serves as part of the trail system within the park. This work is necessary to maintain function of the Butano Wastewater Treatment Plant, maintain critical access within the park for fire safety and emergency access, and restore safe access to recreational trails via the Little Butano Creek Road. The Butano Wastewater Treatment Plant serves Butano State Park and is integral in treating wastewater associated with park facilities and maintaining water quality for the Little Butano Creek. |
