Maintenance Desilting of Lower Alameda Creek (Zone 5, Line A) Fish Ladder and Resting Pool


The San Francisco Regional Water Quality Control Board is currently reviewing an application for the following project for water quality certification under Section 401 of the Clean Water Act. Project Description:

As part of the joint Lower Alameda Creek Fish Passage Improvements Project (Project) to reestablish passage of federally threatened Central California Coast steelhead (Oncorhynchus mykiss or O. mykiss) Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (ACFCWCD) seeks to maintain and remove accumulated sediment in the lower BART fish ladder. This fish ladder allows fish to access miles of spawning habitat upstream of these previously inaccessible barriers.
