September 2026 Grizzly Island Emergency Work
The San Francisco Regional Water Quality Control Board is currently reviewing an application for the following project for water quality certification under Section 401 of the Clean Water Act. | Project Description: |
During detailed construction planning and field verification, crews identified substantially more severe structural deterioration than previously understood, including extensive rot, decayed crossarms, and ineffective guywire support. These newly identified conditions indicate an imminent risk of pole failure and revealed that three adjacent deteriorated poles must also be replaced to safely complete the repair and prevent cascading line failure. |
