Alleged Violation: Unauthorized discharge
Proposed Penalty: $5,557,700
Current Status: A Tentative (settlement) Order has been issued; the public comment period is open until 5:00 p.m. on April 23, 2026. Please send comments to the attention of Debbie Phan at Debbie Phan@waterboards.ca.gov.
Current Mandatory Minimum Penalty Cases
This is a notice of opportunity to comment on a proposed settlement between the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Board and the Sobrato Organization to pay a statutory mandated minimum penalty of $15,000 for discharge limit violations. The violations occurred at Broadway Plaza located at 1401 Broadway, Redwood City, in San Mateo County. The public comment period is open until 5:00 p.m. on April 17, 2026.
