The San Francisco Region Water Quality Control Board is currently reviewing an application for the following project for water quality certification under Section 401 of the Clean Water Act. Project Description:

A 16-inch diameter force main pipe portion underneath the San Leandro Channel was built in 1949, and requires cleaning as well as condition inspection to determine remaining life and rehabilitation needs. The inspection of this pipe line requires the construction of a new below grade concrete access vault to launch the cleaning and inspection tools and excavation pit for temporary bypass valve.
