| Project Name: |
Emergency Aviador Bridge Repair Project |
| City/County: |
Millbrae, San Mateo County |
| Comment Period: |
4/25/2026 - 05/15/2026 |
| Project Description: |
The Aviador Avenue Bridge, a critical access point for the neighborhood, has shown significant structural deterioration since a 2023 assessment, with worsening cracks, corrosion, and concrete damage confirmed in a 2026 follow-up survey. Although a replacement project was planned and permitted processes initiated, construction has been delayed to 2027 due to funding constraints. The accelerated deterioration observed in 2026 has heightened safety concerns and increased the urgency for repairs or replacement. |
