| Project Description: |
The White Gate HOA owns a reach of Green Valley Creek and an unnamed tributary. These channels have experienced headcuts and incision and associated bank failures. In 2022, the Restoration Design Group designed and permitted the installation of woody debris structures on Green Valley Creek. This process-based approach has been effective in arresting the incision and capturing sediment, allowing riparian vegetation to become established. Coupled with plantings of live willow and native container species, the structure and function of this creek is being restored. |
