Former Ford Aeronutronics Facility, Newport Beach
Vapor intrusion assessment activities are ongoing for volatile organic compounds (principally trichloroethylene, a carcinogen) that are present in soil vapor beneath some residential and commercial properties at the former Ford Aeronutronics site in the City of Newport Beach.

In response to community interest, the Santa Ana Regional Water Quality Control Board (Water Board) is hosting informational meetings regarding the soil vapor investigation at the former Ford Aeronutronics site. Each of the next two meetings will consist of a half-hour presentation on recent environmental work, sampling results and next steps. Afterward a panel of subject matter experts will be convened to answer questions. A one-on-one discussion with the experts is possible after the panel discussion.
