The San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board (Water Board) requests public comments on many types of draft documents: Basin Plan amendments, adoption of TMDLs (Total Maximum Daily Loads), NPDES permits, Waste Discharge Requirements, Site Cleanup Requirements, Enforcement Orders, California Environmental Quality Act documents and more. Basin Planning and TMDLs

Notice of Opportunity to Comment on the proposed approval of the Basin Plan amendment to adopt chlorine water quality objectives and total residual chlorine water quality based-effluent limitations for wastewater discharges. Comment Deadline is February 17, 2021 by 12 noon.

NEW - October 13, 2020: A proposed Basin Plan amendment to establish a Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) for bacteria in Pillar Point Harbor and Venice Beach and to incorporate state-wide bacteria objectives into the Basin Plan is available for public review. Send written comments to Barbara.Baginska@waterboards.ca.gov by no later than 5:00 p.m. on December 1, 2020. The Water Board will consider this Basin Plan amendment (Bacteria TMDL) in a hearing to be held on February 10, 2021.

Notice of Avaliablilty of Public Review and Notice of Intent to Adopt an Initial Study/Proposed Mitigated Negtive Declaration for Shell Alameda Distribution Center Remediation Project. The public comment review period is closed.

United Technologies Corporation is currently in the process of transferring ownership of approximately 1,521 acres of the western portion of the site (the Coyote Ridge Parcel) to the Santa Clara Valley Habitat Agency. This Order rescinds Order No. R2-2015-0025, and amends Order No. R2-2012-0019 to recognize additional property transfer.

Resolutions for Consideration by the Board

Urban Stormwater

The California Department of Transportation (Department) has submitted its Trash Control Implementation Workplan for the San Francisco Bay Region (Workplan) on December 31, 2020. The Workplan is a requirement of Cease and Desist Order No. R2-2019-0007, issued to the Department on February 13, 2019.
