    On 10 October 2014, the Central Valley Water Board issued Cleanup and Abatement Order (CAO) R5-2014-0124 to a number of parties, including Jack and Carolyn Wessman, the Bradley Mining Co., the U.S. Department of Interior, Sunoco, Mt. Diablo Quicksilver Co., Ltd., and the California Department of Parks and Recreation. This Tentative Stipulated Order resolves only the liability of Sunoco, and is available for public comment until 5:00 p.m. on 7 June 2017.     A draft Order Revising Cleanup and Abatement Order R5-2014-0124 was issued by the Central Valley Water Board's Advisory Team in response to litigation involving the Mt. Diablo Mercury Mine (Sunoco, Inc. v. Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (Sacramento County Sup. Ct., Case No. 34-2016-80002282).) and is proposed for consideration at a future Board meeting.   • CMO, Inc. - Consideration of Settlement Agreement and Stipulation of Entry of Administrative Civil Liability
    On 21 January 2014, Board staff received a complaint that oil field produced water was being discharged on CMO's leases in the Chico Martinez Oil Field. After an inspection, Board staff issued a Notice of Violation to CMO (Discharger) and sought additional information related to the alleged discharges, including information related to volume, sampling of the discharge, and business practices that led to the discharges. After a lengthy investigation involving the review of financial documents, the change of CMO personnel and legal counsel, the Assistant Executive Officer and CMO were able to resolve this matter through settlement. The proposed order includes monies to fund over $200,000 in Supplemental Environmental Projects, as described in Attachment C. The Discharger has requested a payment plan as described in the Stipulated Order. This settlement is available for public comment until 5:00 p.m. on 24 July 2017.     In February 2017, Board staff issued a pre-Administrative Civil Liability (ACL) notification letter to Peter & Lisa Andrada (Dischargers) for failure to respond to a Water Code section 13260 Order. The pre-ACL letter informed the Dischargers of impending issuance of an ACL Complaint and invited them to negotiate settlement of the ACL to avoid issuance of a Complaint. The Assistant Executive Officer and the Dischargers were able to reach a tentative settlement that is available for public comment until 5:00 p.m. on 20 September 2017. The Assistant Executive Officer and the Discharger were able to reach a tentative settlement that is available for public comment until 5:00 p.m. on 31 August 2017.
