Board Business - Terranova Ranch/O’Neill’s Winery Tour

Terranova Ranch/O’Neill’s Winery Tour – Terranova Ranch operates over 6,000 acres of organic and conventional farmland in Helm, California. They produce over 25 diverse crops and are known for sustainable practices including pioneering on-farm groundwater recharge using advanced irrigation and energy conservation methods.

O’Neill’s Winery is the 7th largest winery in California, located in Parlier, CA, and have introduced sustainable vermiculture, a process of using worms to convert waste into nutrient-rich organic matter.

Joining us at O’Neill’s Winery will be Dr. Cliff Yu, Assistant Professor of Viticulture and Enology at Fresno State University Dr. Yu will provide an introduction to his latest research entitled, “Grapevine Stem Water Potential Estimation by Sensor Integration in Wine Grape Vineyards”.

Non-waterboard staff will need to provide their own transportation.
