Region 8 - Santa Ana: Non-Paid Internship Opportunity

Currently Region 8 - Santa Ana does not have a Climate Change comprehensive plan for the Region. The intern would continue work of previous interns to research background information pertaining to Climate Change within our area, develop a staff report, finish a draft resolution, and then assist in presenting the resolution/staff report to the Santa Ana Water Board in a hearing for adoption of the resolution.

Duties
Duties would include Researching Climate Change issues, writing and preparing documents to be presented to the Santa Ana Water Board, and working under the direction and guidance of supervisory staff at the Santa Ana Water Board. The research conducted to develop the staff report will provide the intern with an excellent background in climate change science and policy.

Hours/Schedule
Hours can be flexible and will be dependent on the school schedule for the intern. 10 to 20 hours a week would be expected. The duration would be until project completion and could last a year or more.

Telework
This entire project can be completed virtually without the intern coming into the office. Therefore, candidates that don’t live in the area would definitely be considered.
