Expedited Drinking Water Grant Program

The State Water Board adopted the Guidelines for the Expedited Drinking Water Grant (EDWG) Program on March 8, 2023. The EDWG Program is administered by the Division of Financial Assistance (DFA) Office of Sustainable Water Solutions and utilizes a variety of state funding sources for drinking water infrastructure projects, including Proposition 1, Proposition 68, the Safe and Affordable Drinking Water Fund, Proposition 4, the Budget Acts of 2021 and 2024, and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund. These funds are administered as grants and/or Principal Forgiveness.
