Privacy Notice on Collection
Civil Code section 1798.17 requires a Privacy Notice on Collection to be provided when personal information is collected. Individuals have the right to review personal information maintained by the State Water Resources Control Board (Water Boards), unless access is exempted by law. Authority for Collection of Personal Information
Personal information is collected from individuals who opt to receive updates about statewide and region-specific issues impacting the Water Boards. Collection of this information is required to enroll in this service; however, participation is voluntary.

Your contact information is used to deliver requested updates or to access your subscriber preferences.
Known or Foreseeable Disclosures of the Information
Your information may be shared with other state agencies, the federal government, or law enforcement or as permitted by law. Water Boards will not share your personal information with third parties or for promotional purposes. Additionally, Water Boards must comply with the Public Records Act but only as required by law.
Consequences of Not Providing Any or All Parts of the Requested Information
All information requested is voluntary. If you choose not to provide the requested information, your email subscription request may not be processed.
