Division of Financial Assistance Drought Project List

The October 19, 2021, State of Emergency Proclamation (Proclamation) and the subsequent Executive Order N-7-22 issued by Governor Gavin Newsom on March 28, 2022, suspends California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) for certain activities addressing impacts of the drought. The State Water Board, Division of Financial Assistance has determined that the projects listed below are consistent with Paragraph seven (7) of the Proclamation and are necessary to address the impacts of the drought, and thus has suspended CEQA review of the projects per Paragraph 12 of the Proclamation, to assist local agencies with identifying and addressing acute drinking water shortages and to proactively prevent situations where a community runs out of drinking water.
